A Weekend Dentistry Course Presented by Green Dog and Taught by Dr. Ren Garcia

About The Workshop

This intensive hands-on workshop is designed for veterinarians seeking to expand their practical skills in veterinary dentistry. Led by Dr. Ren Garcia, one of the foremost experts in the field, this course covers essential and advanced dental techniques applicable to small animal practice. Participants will gain practical experience in radiographic interpretation, periodontal disease management, surgical extractions, and pain control procedures. The hands-on portion of the course will allow attendees to practice surgical techniques under direct expert supervision, ensuring they leave with improved confidence and clinical proficiency.

By The End Of The Course Participants Will:

  • Understand veterinary dental anatomy and the pathophysiology of common dental diseases.
  • Accurately interpret dental radiographs to diagnose oral pathology.
  • Perform surgical extractions and periodontal surgery using proper techniques.
  • Earn 16 RACE- Approved CE Hours (8 hours of lecture + 8 hours of hands-on lab)

About the Instructor

Dr. Garcia is the founder and chief of staff at Green Dog Dental and Veterinary Center. His experience and training in oral surgery span over 5000 procedures in a 12-year span and include general dentistry, jaw fracture repair techniques, endodontic treatments, root canal therapy, and surgical oncology.

He is currently pursuing two Master's degrees—one in Veterinary Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Luxembourg, and another in Veterinary Dentistry through the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZVS).

Additionally, he serves as an adjunct professor at Western University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he mentors 3rd and 4th-year veterinary students in general dentistry and oral surgery.
