Chief of Staff, Green Dog Veterinary Center
Dr. Garcia is the founder of Green Dog University and serves as the Chief of Staff at Green Dog Veterinary Center. His work focuses on advancing education in diagnostic imaging, dentistry, and maxillofacial surgery for practicing veterinarians and credentialed technicians.
Before entering veterinary medicine, Dr. Garcia worked as a firefighter and emergency medical technician specializing in search and rescue. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Massey University in New Zealand in 2003, where he developed interests in diagnostic imaging, dentistry, and orofacial surgery.
Following graduation, he completed an 18-month advanced imaging internship at the Veterinary Imaging Center of San Diego, gaining specialized experience in diagnostic and interventional imaging. He later founded a mobile veterinary service that evolved into Green Dog Veterinary Center, where his passion for innovation and teaching evolved alongside his practice. He has since become recognized as one of Los Angeles' leading educators in veterinary dentistry and maxillofacial procedures.
Dr. Garcia is currently pursuing two master's degrees: one in Veterinary Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Luxembourg, and another in Veterinary Dentistry through the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZVS). He also serves as an adjunct professor at Western University of Health Sciences, mentoring senior veterinary students in dentistry and oral surgery.
At Green Dog University, Dr. Garcia's mission is to share his knowledge and encourage clinical confidence among DVMs and CVTs seeking advanced, hands-on training in veterinary dentistry and imaging. His approach blends academic depth with practical application, ensuring every course reflects the highest standards of veterinary education.
